GTA 6 release date and platforms: when can you play?
Rockstar lists November 19, 2026 for Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its regional support notice puts the unlock at midnight local time on both console families.
What midnight means for your plans
Midnight on November 19 is the start of Thursday, immediately after Wednesday evening. Players in different time zones therefore reach the announced local unlock at different moments. A countdown shared by someone overseas may reach zero before or after yours.
Is there a PC release date?
Rockstar’s launch announcement names PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official sources checked for this guide give no PC release date or PC hardware requirements. For a purchase decision, look for an explicit PC listing from the publisher before relying on a retailer estimate.
Downloading before the game unlocks
Pre-loading puts files on an eligible console before the release unlock. It follows a separate schedule, including a different Xbox timing rule. Use our pre-load guide to plan the download and the regional release notice to plan your first session.
